Jack Ayres is a recurring character on Grace and Frankie, portrayed by Michael McKean.
Story[]
Jack meets Frankie at a charity gala that Nick, Grace's husband, took her to along with Grace. Frankie and Jack had competing bids for Jerry Garcia's shoes. Jack won but gave the right shoe to Frankie. They eventually went out on a date with each other where Jack told Frankie a secret. She couldn't hear him and figured it out later. He had had a nasty divorce with his ex-wife and was in a mental institution for a while. As it turned out, Sol and Robert were his ex-wife's divorce attorneys and somewhat of the reason he was ill for a while. Frankie teaches him to forgive. But then Frankie's ex, Jacob, comes to town and Jack has to compete with him for Frankie.
