Nwabudike Douglas Bergstein was adopted by Frankie Bergstein née Mengela and Sol Bergstein when he was a baby. He has one adoptive brother, Coyote Bergstein. He became a successful divorce lawyer like his dad.

• Nwabudike is a given name of Nigerian Igbo origin, meaning "the strength of his father".
  • It is possible that Frankie and Sol kept his actual birth name when they adopted him. If this is true then we can assume he is of Igbo origin.
